WHO ARE WE?
Hello, we are Jan & Gina
nd we welcome you to our website.
We are a Belgian couple from Deinze, East Flanders and have been happily married for 34 years.
We have one son, Giovanni. He continued to live in Belgium with his girlfriend.
Our story starts at the end of 2018 when Jan heard the sad news that his employer wanted to close the branch in Belgium, leaving him and 110 colleagues got out on the street. The end of his professional career gave us the chance to live our dream of running a Bed and Breakfast in France. to become reality.
After an intensive search of 6 months, our eye finally fell on a beautiful building in the Dordogne region. In April 2019 we moved to our new location in Vitrac,
near the picturesque town of Sarlat-la-Canéda.
One intense year of renovation work, brainstorming and much administration later, we welcome you with much love in our Bed & Breakfast Perles de Montfort.
Perles de Montfort literally means "pearls" from Montfort. The choice for this name is two-part.
Firstly, this new challenge means a new life and a new home for us. We therefore cherish every moment and will do everything in our power to pamper you in our pearls (rooms).
Moreover, the Dordogne region is known for its 1001 castles and since the beautiful Castle of Montfort is almost in our back garden,
the name was quickly chosen.
Secondly, we both love hydrangeas and let it be a coincidence that this flower is translated into French
as Montfort Perle.
Our mission is to make you feel at home during your stay in the most beautiful region of France.
We hope to welcome you soon in our Chambres d'Hôtes.
